Chasten Buttigieg to Visit Houghton County

The Houghton County Democrats are proud to welcome Chasten Buttigieg!

Come join us for a Meet & Greet with Chasten on Saturday October 19th at 10 AM at the Houghton Super 8.

Chasten Glezman Buttigieg grew up in Traverse City. He is a junior high school teacher, LGBTQ+ advocate, and husband of 2020 presidential candidate and current Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg.

Chasten served as an advisor, spokesperson, and social media campaigner during his husband's 2020 campaign. When Pete left the race he and Chasten both endorsed and campaigned for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. Since that campaign, Buttigieg has considered Kamala Harris and her husband Doug Emhoff as close friends.

He is also the author of the book "I Have Something to Tell You".

Chasten and Pete live in northern lower Michigan with their two children, Gus and Penelope; and their rescue dog, Buddy.
