HOLIDAY CHEER, CHARITABLE DONATIONS, AND CANDIDATE CHRIS MAPPS AT THE DECEMBER MEETING

OUR NEXT GET-TOGETHER PROMISES TO BE BOTH FUN AND INFORMATIVE

A potluck, a chance to support a worthy local charity, a new candidate for State Senate, and our monthly meeting! We’ve got a full schedule for you next Wednesday.

We do hope you’ll join us (and please RSVP using the button below) - it will be a chance to share holiday cheer. And also, to look back at how, together, we’ve risen to the challenges this new administration has brought, while we encourage each other to continue the fight!

Join us for our Holiday Potluck Party and December monthly meeting at 6 PM Wednesday December 3rd, at the Super 8 in Houghton.

  • It’s a Potluck Holiday Party - starting at 6 PM. Bring a festive dish to share if you can, or just bring your festive spirit and enjoy some quality time with your fellow Dems before we settle down to business at 7.

  • You are invited to please bring a contribution - monetary or food - for the Copper Country Angel Mission in Calumet. (Find out more about the work of the Mission on their website).

  • At the meeting, you’ll have a chance to hear from Chris Mapps, the recently announced candidate for the MI Senate.

Remote attendance is available by Zoom. Click here at 7 PM Wednesday to attend by Zoom.

Membership in the Houghton County Democratic Party is encouraged, but not required, to attend meetings. We welcome all Houghton County residents who support progressive Democratic government to attend our meetings and events and also to become involved.

THUR NOV 27

A wise man once said that a thankful heart is the parent of all virtues. This Thanksgiving let's give thanks for all we have been blessed with, as we share our bounty with kindness and compassion for those less fortunate this holiday season.

SAT NOV 29

Small Business Saturday is an annual event that takes place nationwide on the Saturday following Thanksgiving to encourage more holiday shopping at local small businesses. The idea for the day originally came from American Express in 2010, as a way to support their small business customers during the rise of the Cyber Monday online shopping phenomenon. Each year local businesses hold special sales or longer hours on this day to welcome shoppers. Please remember to patronize local small businesses as you do your holiday shopping this year.
