Considering a run for a local school board, township council or other local seat? Attend the HCDP Recruitment Committee’s session on How to Run for Local Office (see item above).
IN ADDITION, WE WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF OTHER RESOURCES AVAILABLE TO YOU:

The National Democratic Training Committee (NDTC) exists to empower Democratic candidates, campaign staffers, and local leaders with free, accessible tools, expert training, and online resources to secure victories anytime, anywhere. The NDTC offers knowledge, skills, and training through live and online-on-demand trainings, nationwide to Democrats. And they do it for free, as part of their mission to build the next generation of Democratic leaders.
Learn more about the NDTC and the courses they offer at http://traindemocrats.org

Run For Something (RFS) helps young people run for office and advance progressive values. Whether you’re just starting to explore a run or already planning your campaign, you’re part of something big: a movement of everyday people stepping up to lead their communities. RFS can help you learn how to run, volunteer, donate, or shop for candidates and causes.

Emerge is the nation’s premier organization that recruits and trains Democratic women to run for office. They are the only political organization that focuses on effective state and national programming that gives women the tools they need to run and win, as well as building an inclusive sisterhood of alums and a network of alumnae, staff, boards, and volunteers who are on-the-ground 365 days a year to support women through their candidacies at every level and once they are elected.
Emerge offers several candidatge training programs including their Signature Program, Gavel In, Boot Camps, Step Forwards, and Seated Together.
Emerge has state-level affiliates, including here in Michigan. Learn more about Emerge and what they can offer by visiting the Michigan affiliate at https://mi.emergeamerica.org/
