SHARE HOLIDAY CHEER, DONATE TO A CHARITY, AND HEAR FROM CANDIDATE CHRIS MAPPS AT THE DECEMBER MEETING TOMORROW

OUR GET-TOGETHER TOMORROW PROMISES TO BE BOTH FUN AND INFORMATIVE
A potluck, a chance to support a worthy local charity, a new candidate for State Senate, and our monthly meeting! We’ve got a full schedule for you next tomorrow evening.
We do hope you’ll join us (and please RSVP using the button below) - it will be a chance to share holiday cheer. And also, to look back at how, together, we’ve risen to the challenges this new administration has brought, while we encourage each other to continue the fight!
Join us for our Holiday Potluck Party and December monthly meeting at 6 PM Wednesday December 3rd, at the Super 8 in Houghton.
It’s a Potluck Holiday Party - starting at 6 PM. Bring a festive dish to share if you can, or just bring your festive spirit and enjoy some quality time with your fellow Dems before we settle down to business at 7.
You are invited to please bring a contribution - monetary or food - for the Copper Country Angel Mission in Calumet. (Find out more about the work of the Mission on their website).
At the meeting, you’ll have a chance to hear from Chris Mapps, the recently announced candidate for the MI Senate.
Remote attendance is available by Zoom. Click here at 7 PM Wednesday to attend by Zoom.
Membership in the Houghton County Democratic Party is encouraged, but not required, to attend meetings. We welcome all Houghton County residents who support progressive Democratic government to attend our meetings and events and also to become involved.

Mark your calendars for this fundraiser by the Kelli van Ginhoven campaign. January 17th from 2 to 4 PM at Fifth & Elm in Hancock.

Join the League of Women Voters of the Copper Country for this virtual online training session, available on YouTube at any time.
From the organizers:
In Michigan, we can influence government through passing ballot questions, and 2026 promises to be a year with a significant number of such questions. Most of these questions get on the ballot after obtaining a required number of signatures.
The League of Women Voters of the Copper Country have created this video to introduce you to the proposed 2026 Michigan ballot questions so that voters can Know What You Sign.
Join Faith Morrison (co-president LWVCC) and Vicky Bergvall (Secretary LWVCC) as they walk you through the petitions that you may be asked to sign.
